Beautiful lake & Mantova #2

Lunedì, dopo aver costeggiato ancora per un po' il lago ed aver fatto colazione a Lazise, ci siamo diretti verso Mantova, dove ho trascorso la giornata immersa nella storia tra palazzi rinascimentali e ville antiche. Avere la libertà di decidere tutto all'ultimo secondo e visitare sempre posti nuovi è qualcosa di favoloso, che mi fa dimenticare tutti i pomeriggi chiusa in casa davanti ai libri... 

Ora sono di nuovo a Milano, ma già mi mancano i paesaggi affascinanti che ammiravo dall'auto d'epoca rossa fiammante con la quale abbiamo percorso le colline Moreniche fino alle porte della città...

On Monday after coasting the shores of Lake Garda and enjoying breakfast in Lazise, we headed off towards Mantova. We spent the whole day immersed in the history of the city enthralled by the renaissance buildings and age-old villas. It's fabulous to be able to decide at the last minute where to go and has been the best tonic to allow me to forget all those long afternoons spent poring over my books... Now I'm back in Milan, but I'm aleady missing the breathtaking scenery that I was able to admire from our bright red vintage car that took us from the Moraine Hills to the gates of the city...
