THE NEW RULES FOR COOL

This is the time to go shopping and buy the must-haves of this season!! Here you can find ten point to be cool all the winter! Don't miss them!

1) BLING IN MODERATION
Wear sequin pieces dressed down -mix with an old scruffy pair of boots and a big slouchy knit. The key is to look as if you've not tried too hard. With a sequin dress, wear it with just a massive pair of hells and an oversized jacket that comes to the bottom of the hem!

2) SUBTLE SEE-THROUGH
There is nothing coolest than a huge mohair jumper over a little vest and skinny jeans. Worn in a big, loose style, it covers up what you don't want people to see, but still has that sexy see-through edge!

3) MAKE SURE YOUR PARTY FROCK ROCKS
Roksanda Ilincic has done an amazing collection for Whistles this season. This beautiful silk satin dress is pure her -it slinks and drapes around the bodyin the most flattering way, accentuating curves and revealing one sexy shoulder. It has a timeless elegance and is quite delicious to wear.

4) DON'T OVER ACCESSORISE
I'm an advocate for keeping things simple with just one statement piece of jewellery, or belt, or bag -but not everything together! It's just too much and ends up looking cheap!

5) HANG LOOSE
Layer racerback vests and T-shirt make sure they're loose and baggy! I love that we've moved away from those very, very fitted worky-type tops. They work so well with a skinny jeans. Add on a huge necklace for impact.

6) OVERSIZE YOUR COVER UP
The biker jacket has long been a symbol of cool, but look out for a longer length this season. An oversized blazer will also work with everything -go for almost mid-thing length.

7) CAN DO BODY-CON
Keep it really simple!! With a body-con dress, don't go for big jewellery, just stick with a great heel. If you're brave, go for a bare leg, but if you've got any kind of problem -which most of us do- then do thick black tights!

8) SOUP UP YOUR DRESS WITH STATEMENT ROCKS
Dress are still key, but are much more laid-back, with slouchy pockets. Harden up your look with a big necklace or chunky metal chain-knit bangle. There are also lots of beautiful vintage belts around eith enamel or jewelled clasps.

9) INVEST IN A WINTER COAT
It's always worth spending a little extra on a classic winter coat. It does not have to be overly styled, but it's nice to have a bit of the season about it!

10) DON'T BE WALLFLOWER
Anyone can wear leather leggings -you just need confidence. Balance them with a longish boyfriend jacket -you don't want to show off how tight they are. Finish off with ankle boots to mix it up a bit!

(Autografata dallo stilista Iceberg)
